This project is focussed on emerging composers. Whilst there is no monetary reward to composers, the GWS is offering its resources to help composers delve deeper into writing music for the wind symphony genre. Composers submit to be selected for the workshop and concert. Composers are invited to rehearsals to hear how their composition sound when played by live musicians. Recordings of rehearsals and the concert will help them analyse the success of their work. The performance will be preceded by a Meet The Composers talk at 6.10pm. The composers who were selected are: Bayden Adams (WA), Mitchell Alexander (ACT), Catherine Clarke-Jones (Vic), Jitho Jayasinghe (Vic), Scott Sanders (Vic), Jem Shirwell (Vic), Michael Young (Tas), and Helen Wanders (Tas).
The pre-concert Meet The Composers talk is included in the ticket price 6.00pm to 6.45pm
The concert Made In Australia 7.00pm to 8.45pm.
