Symphonic Wind Bands STREAM

also known as Symphonic Bands or Concert Bands, comprise flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, french horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba, percussion, and sometimes piano and occasionally double bass. Imagine a symphony orchestra with no strings. It is anticipated there will be four symphonic wind bands at the 2020 Summer School catering to all levels of players from beginner to advanced levels.

Summer Camp 2020 will be a marvellous week of music-making at the highest level for all involved. With a phenomenal line-up of some of Victoria and Australia’s best educators and professional conductors leading a variety of exciting ensembles (not to mention 700+ participants aged between 7 to 25).

Summer School’s Symphonic Wind Bands stream provides concert band experiences for all ages and musical abilities across four bands.

Beginning musicians will come together to share their first ensemble experience.

Intermediate musicians, will be challenged beyond their existing school or community band environments.

Advanced musicians in this stream will be challenged to develop critical ensemble skills, teamwork, communication and creativity, and will improve their sight-reading through a series of rehearsals and workshops with music professionals.

STANDARD *AMEB Grade 1 – 7+
AGE 7 – 13 years +
PROGRAM FEES: Full enrolment $640 or Sibling discount $610
